Butterfly Jewelry Set
I’ve always loved butterflies. When I was younger, my family would visit my grandmother’s lake house and I would try to make friends with the butterflies. My grandmother swears that one particular tiger swallowtail would only show up when I was at the house. Now as an artist, I can spend hours scrolling through pictures of butterflies; the variety of color and pattern is practically limitless.
This listing is for a matching set of earrings and pendant in one of four different butterfly patterns: Monarch, Tiger Swallowtail, Alexandra Birdwing, or Purple Emperor. Both earrings and necklace are available separately.
The earrings were the progenitor of this collection. Their shape immediately reminded me of butterfly wings and it was a natural next step to plan a series around this theme. The pendants are more abstract in shape, but still immediately recognizable as belonging to the same collection.
The earrings are 1.5” across and the pendant is 2” long by 1” across with a 24” gold colored chain. The beadwork of these pieces is very lightweight, at less than 1oz, sturdy and waterproof. The chain can be adjusted in length or swapped for gold plated chain for an extra fee. The earrings come with silver plated fishhook style earring hooks that can be swapped for gold plated fishhooks or gold plated leverback earrings for an additional fee.
